SALT LAB

Apply to be part of the inaugural SALT Lab cohort!  

SALT Lab is a one-of-a-kind fellowship opportunity for a small group of educators to collaborate with public and private executives, city leaders, and elected officials on various community challenges that impact the work of classroom/campus practitioners. The fellowship is also an opportunity for educators to hear and understand the city’s vision for education. Educators will have the opportunity to help develop a citywide mindset for what school could and should look like in San Antonio.  Fellows will also learn how to advocate for partnerships, structures and policies that will improve the experience of classroom/campus practitioners.

Upon completion of the program, cohort members will receive special recognition that includes but not limited to, a certificate of completion, exclusive access to SALT events, growth of personal development skills and professional network, and the possibility of a small stipend.

SALT Lab is available for free to educators selected to be part of the cohort.

Applicant Eligibility Criteria:

• Current classroom teacher (any grade level) and new school leaders (less than two years of experience as a school leader and a valid administrator license)
• Valid teaching certificate
• Open to applicants in the K-12 public education space

Please make sure you are able to join us for 4-day SALT Lab experience.  Attendance is mandatory for each date.

• Welcome Happy Hour: Wednesday, July 17 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Session 1: Thursday, July 18 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Session 2: Friday, July 19 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m
• Session 3: Saturday, July 20 9:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m.

Deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
