Founder & Board Chair
Jen Maestas
Jen's been a teacher, instructional coach, and elementary school principal. She hosts Miss Education, a podcast about the education landscape in San Antonio. She works for CAST Schools Network supporting the work of six high schools in SA.

Veronica Valdovinos
Veronica has been a first grade teacher, a fourth grade teacher, an instructional coach and is currently serving SA's largest urban school district as an administrative intern. She's also pursuing her educational leadership graduate degree at Trinity University.
Jonathan Rowley
Board Member
Jonathan is a teacher at Young Women's Leadership Academy, Primary here in San Antonio. Jonathan is dedicated to the success of his students and to the profession of education. He works diligently every day to provide engaging lessons and to advocate for best practices in the classroom.
Veronica Diaz
Board Member
Veronica is the Managing Director of Alumni Impact at Teacher For America San Antonio. Veronica was a teacher and a bilingual specialist during her years serving campuses from Texas and California. Veronica is an equity focused leader who cares about teacher voice and success.
Sophie Torres
Board Member
Sophie is the Regional Advocacy Director for Raise Your Hand Texas, an nonpartisan education nonprofit focused on supporting public policy solutions. Her love for advocacy and fellowship is married in the work SALT does for educations in the area.
Jennifer Benavides
Board Member
Jennifer is an experienced principal leading the work at Fox Tech High School in SAISD. She is skilled at building relationships and seeing the magic in everyone. She's dedicated to building programs that strengthen the connection between educators and the community that we serve.
Delia Montelongo
Board Member
Delia is the proud Head of Schools of the Young Women’s Leadership Academy (YWLA) Network. Her passion for teaching began in New York City’s Bronx borough. She taught and served Corpus Christi as administrator for 19 years before moving to San Antonio in 2010.
Jessica Mueller
Board Member
Jessica Mueller currently serves as the Director of Programs at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce which allows her to focus on providing forward-thinking while leading the chamber's dynamic leadership and education programs, including The Alexander Briseno Leadership Development Program, the Latina Leadership Institute, Leadership San Antonio. She is excited to utilize her talents and contribute to the mission of SALT.
